Did you know it is the law to have your dog microchipped??

If your dog isn’t chipped and registered on an approved database or if they are, and your details aren’t up to date, you can be liable to pay a £500 fine and could face criminal prosecution.

Not just that, it gives your pet the best chance of being identified and returned to you if they were ever lost or stolen. So why wouldn’t you?

A microchip is a tiny, rice sized implant that is inserted under the animal’s skin (usually between the shoulder blades) and gives them their own unique code.

⚠️You MUST keep your details up to date for a microchip to be effective. If you move house or change your numbers, please inform the database.⚠️

We have seen quite a few lost dogs recently that have not been microchipped or the details are incorrect. As wonderful as Facebook is for reuniting pets with their owners, it’s not the most reliable way. There are currently 16,000 missing dogs in the UK.

If you know your animal isn’t chipped, please contact us today for an appointment.
