DOMESTIC PETS CLIENT TERMS OF BUSINESS

Veterinary care provided to registered clients of E.C. Straiton & Partners Limited.

  • Normal opening hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-7:00pm and Saturday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.
  • Initial consultation charged at £30.91.
  • Repeat consultations charged at £23.00.
  • Out of normal business hours emergencies will be seen at our Penkridge Hospital.
  • Out of hour’s consultation charged at £120.00 before 11pm and £180.00.
  • No credit offered. Payment is strictly at the time of your consultation or upon collection of your animal or prescription.
  • Payment is by cash, or credit card (not AMEX)
  • Repeat prescription only medicines can only be dispensed to ‘animals under our care’.
  • ‘Under our care’ is defined as animals seen within the last 4 months.
  • We will try to accommodate your preference of Vet but we cannot always guarantee this.
  • We strongly advise you to make sure your pet is insured with a reputable insurance company.
  • Rude or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. 
  • The Partners of E.C. Straiton & Partners Limited reserve the right to un-register clients with immediate effect at their discretion.

EQUINE CLIENTS TERMS OF BUSINESS

 

All equine visits will be priced with individual charges for turnout and veterinary time. If multiple clients are seen on the same visit then turnout charges will be shared equally. It is the responsibility of the clients involved to organise group/yard visits. Equine turnout fees during normal equine visit hours (8:00 til 4:30) are 41.69 for local and 57.62 for intermediate calls. Out of hours visits will be charged on bank holidays, weekends and between 4.30pm and 8.00am weekdays. Out of hours fees are £79.81 for local visits and £95.30 for intermediate calls.  Horse time is charged at £35.57 per 15 minutes.

New clients

No credit is available for any equine work. Payment is expected at the time of your visit by credit card or cash. Any change from cash transactions on visits will be credited onto your account.  New client terms will continue for 6 months following the first veterinary visit to your horse.

Established clients

Payment terms are strictly 30 days from the date of treatment for established clients.

All routine work will be carried out on the morning or early afternoon of your appointment date.  Whilst exact times will not been given, approximate time may be available on the day of your visit dependant on emergency caseloads. Notice can be given prior to your veterinary visit  if required.

We will try to accommodate your preference of vet however we cannot guarantee specified vets for routine work such as vaccinations or in the case of emergencies.  In the case of an emergency we would request you appoint a friend or yard manager to act on your behalf. Please notify the office as soon as possible of change of contact details including the location of your horse. Although we endeavour to send out vaccination reminders it is your responsibility to keep your horses vaccines up to date. We would strongly advise you to make sure your horse is insured with a reputable insurance company.
