Laboratory Results

Whilst your pet has been with us, he or she may have had samples taken for laboratory analysis.

These include blood samples, biopsies, urine samples or examination of growths.

The practice has a modern ‘in house’ laboratory which we use on a daily basis for many of these examinations, however, in some cases we send samples to specialised external laboratories.

Where samples are sent to external laboratories, it can take up to 10 working days for results to be reported to us, particularly in the case of biopsies – very similar to the situation with human biopsies.

We fully appreciate that in many cases you will be worried about your pet’s laboratory results, but would like to assure you that we will report to you as soon as results are reported to us
